Released in 2012, Chilipo Mixtape showcased the raw, experimental and street-driven side of Phyzix during one of the most active periods of his career. The project blended freestyle energy, club records, social commentary and collaborations, reflecting the fast-moving mixtape culture that helped shape Malawian urban music at the time. The mixtape features songs such as “Big Kahuna,” “Local Freestyle,” “Serious,” “Mavuto Ndilibe” and the fan favorite “Chilipo,” highlighting Phyzix’s versatility, confidence and ability to connect with both mainstream and underground audiences. With energetic flows, creative concepts and diverse collaborations, Chilipo Mixtape kept Phyzix visible and culturally relevant while continuing to expand his influence within Malawi’s hip hop movement.
