Promise Mhone

Am Prince Promise Mhone, a young man born on 03 July 2002 (Mlambe Hospital), a poet writer based in Lunzu, Blantyre, Malawi. I started my journey in poetry writing during my primary school days at Matindi primary school but when l went to Lunzu secondary school I ventured into hip hop music. I performed on variety shows and people started to know me and during my time at Lunzu, I was in a music group (Nyambititi Empire) now known as Mapeto music. When I started my university journey at University of Malawi in 2023 I remembered my writing skills and decided to join UNIMA Writers Workshop which enhanced my writing abilities and am so grateful with that experience. Currently I have only recorded one poem entitled Cry of a Black Child which focuses much on racism in different parts of the world.
