“Zonse” (meaning “Everything”) is a reflective and powerful song that reminds us to remain humble, accountable, and thankful for every blessing God has entrusted to us—be it in work, family, or ministry. Inspired by Proverbs 14:1 and the New Testament parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14–30), Zonse encourages listeners not to live foolishly, denying God’s hand in their lives. As Proverbs warns, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God,’”—a mindset that leads to pride, carelessness, and, ultimately, destruction. Instead, this song calls us to recognize God’s kindness and generosity, and respond with reverence, responsibility, and gratitude. Co-performed with my wife, Jacqueline, Zonse is a gentle but firm reminder: everything we have is from God, and one day, we will give an account for how we used it. May this song help shift hearts and actions toward deeper stewardship and worship.
